2023 Campus Security Report

The federal government passed a law named the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 U.S.C. §1092(f)). The federal law requires colleges and universities receiving federal student financial aid to disclose reported instances of criminal activity on or around their campuses. This act is enforced by the U. S. Department of Education.

In accordance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, and as amended, CMU collects crime statistics as the basis for this Annual Security Report (ASR), published by October 1. This is made available to students, employees, and applicants for enrollment or employment.

Crimes reported includer the following locations: 3550 Camino Del Rio N. Suite #208 San Diego, CA 92108 and our in-residence site: 1720 Walnut, La Puente, CA 91744. The statistics show the total criminal offenses, hate crimes and arrests/referrals for campus disciplinary action that occurred at the main location. These statistics encompass the campus, buildings & property and public property surrounding the campus. Public property includes all thoroughfares, streets, sidewalks, and parking facilities that are within the campus, or adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

All employees and students are encouraged to be vigilant and report anyone inside the CMU buildings to a CMU employee.
Employees and students are encouraged to report anyone loitering on the property or in the parking lot.
Employees working after dark should travel with someone or request a staff escort them upon exiting the building.
